Brad Trew joined Reed Research in 2011 and leads a team of diverse investigators. He is an internationally recognized Cyber Investigations expert and has assisted many high-profile investigations around the world. Brad was recently awarded the 2023 “Cyber Investigations Contributor of the Year” by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. Using leading edge OSINT and HUMINT techniques, Brad develops and aggregates intelligence, preserved through state of the art forensically proven, court defensible methods.

He is an expert interviewer, both informational and adversarial, and is the published co-author of “The Art of Shadowing” on best-practices for surveillance techniques. He also has decades of experience conducting workplace investigations, executive protection, CCTV and covert camera installations, policy creation, security auditing and asset tracking using various technologies. He has an extensive background in supply chain logistics investigations and the secure movement of high-value targets such as narcotics, and precious metals, including the CFL Grey Cup and the Van Gogh art collection. He is a Certified Protection Officer, a Certified Workplace Investigator and holds a Special Investigator designation.

Brad has been a drummer for over 40 years and ran a successful internationally renowned record label. He frequently uses his investigative skills to help find missing people and conduct genealogical searches to connect biological family members. Until recently, he was the editor and contributor of The Councilor, a trade magazine of the Council of International Investigators used to connect and educate investigators from around the world.
