Kelly Burgess
Kelly’s 30-year investigative career spans public, private, and governmental roles. She specializes in comprehensive Workplace Conflict Investigations, demonstrating her expertise in navigating challenging situations. Certified as a trauma-informed Workplace Investigator and Workplace Fairness Analyst in Canada, Kelly focuses on discrimination, harassment, bullying, and toxic work environments, providing clear, actionable reports.
Kelly’s diverse background, which includes over a decade in Saskatchewan policing as a front-line officer, defensive tactics instructor, and recruit trainer, instills confidence in her ability to handle a wide range of situations. She spent sixteen years with the Ontario Provincial Government as an Intelligence/Investigations Specialist for the Environment Ministry, managing a confidential human source program and investigating sensitive cases. Additionally, she led internal investigations for the Ontario Provincial Corrections Ministry and provided intelligence support for the Provincial Youth Justice division.
Kelly is the Director of Workplace Investigations at Reed Research, where she leads in unbiased investigative practices. She is a licensed Private Investigator and OSINT certified.
In her downtime, she’s a hot yoga enthusiast, contorting herself into pretzel shapes while working up a sweat. She loves biking, tackling long hill hikes, and exploring Europe one pastry at a time. And then there’s golf – she plays, but only because someone has to make it interesting by hitting the ball into the water hazards.
